The village carnival was restarted in 2011 by a group of individuals in the village who wanted to promote the community spirit by holding an annual event on the Twyford Road Playing fields, a green space in the centre of the village.
The group have been supported by the Parish Council who allowed the Carnival to use the playing fields and have subsequently provided financial support as the carnival has grown.
The Carnival group have also received support from businesses, individuals and public bodies to enable the to continue to run and grow the event.
